German

It was a very enriching experience for us to be shown Thuli Johannesburg. She is a very dedicated and very intelligent woman with well-founded political views. She speaks excellent German. We were picked up by her at the hotel in Mellville and talked about the history of the country for the first time with a view over the city, especially since the end of apartheid. We have gained many insights into the country’s problems and the injustices still prevailing against the majority black population. She showed us important hotspots of the city, theatre, a jazz pub, street art and much more. The visit to Soweto and the self-help project KYP was particularly impressive. We left with many important impressions and new questions, including about Mandela’s ambiguous work. Thanks Thuli. It was really great! R. & A

Thuli picked us up on time 10am from the accommodation in Melville and showed us real life in Johannesburg. We got to know historical backgrounds and got a lot of insights into the life of  Johannesburgans.
One is off all tourist trails and sees a lot of injustice and misery. The insight into Soweto is truly thought-provoking and memorable. The project “KYP” brings hope for the young generation in terms of education and a better future.

This tour was very impressive and entertaining.
Thuli speaks very good German.
